​GETTYSBURG COLLEGE EQUESTRIAN TEAM

The team currently has over 15 members, comprised of both club and show members. As a team, we compete throughout the academic year in approximately eight IHSA shows (one of which we co-host at Grier School). In preparation for competitions, show members must commit to weekly 1-hour lessons with our coach, Janis Groomes. Lessons are taught in small groups (2-3 riders) and riders are grouped according to ability, class schedule, and availability of drivers.   

 

Throughout the academic year, team members participate in fundraising events, hosting dinners, barn cleanings, and various other fun activities.
